Nick Ceto
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency

Nicholas Ceto III, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), became program manager for the INL project in January 2004 and has also managed EPA's Hanford Project Office in Richland, Washington, since 2002. Prior to joining EPA's Hanford Office, he served as regional mining coordinator for the EPA Region 10 Office in Seattle, Washington, where he provided technical and policy consulting services for mining projects throughout the northwest. Mr. Ceto served as co-chair of EPA's National Hardrock Mining Workgroup, the National Abandoned Mine Lands Team, and the National Lead Sites Workgroup. He has provided consulting services in hazardous waste management and risk assessment to foreign governments, including Russia, Hungary, Ghana, Mexico, Trinidad and Tobago, and Thailand. Mr. Ceto has also served as project manager for Superfund sites in Idaho, Washington, Florida, and Georgia. He has worked for CH2M Hill in Atlanta, EPA Region 4 in Atlanta, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture in Vermont. He has a bachelor of science degree in environmental studies and a master of science degree in natural resource planning, both from the University of Vermont.
